The Pride of St. Patrick Band Wins Big at Gulf Coast Invitational Marching Festival and Competition
The Pride of St. Patrick Band walked away with several awards on Saturday, September 30, during the Gulf Coast Invitational Marching Festival and Competition, including:
The Band received a Superior Rating in Band Performance during the festival portion of the Gulf Coast Invitational Marching Show. During the competition performance, the Band competed in the Small Band Category of Bands of Wind Size Under 23. In that category, St. Patrick Catholic High School Band received the Best in Class Awards in Musical Performance, Visual Performance and General Effect. The Band also received Best in Class Awards in Percussion and Color Guard.
On the win, Band Director Bill Lee said, “Our band students have spent many hours of dedicated practice since the last week of July learning this year’s marching show. We are very proud of them.”
