Caswell was a standout basketball player in high school, averaging 19 points per game and ten rebounds per game. He would earn numerous awards and serve as captain of the baseball and basketball teams. He was also awarded All-District Basketball, All-District Baseball, Sports Medicine Specialist of Mississippi Leadership Award, Wendy's High School Heisman National Nominee, Sun Herald Best and Brightest Athletics, Coca Cola Star Student Award, Academic Excellence Award, National Honor Society Citizenship Award, President's Award for Educational Excellence, Mr. SJHS, SJHS Hall of Fame, SJHS Most Athletic Award, and the SJHS Friendliest Award before playing a year at Millsaps College. He would then transfer to Mississippi State to focus on academics.

At Mississippi State, Caswell earned a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration. He also completed a Masters of Health Science of Physician Assistant Studies and currently works at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport as a physician assistant.

When asked about his time at St. John, Caswell said, "The school culture provided through Catholic education is priceless. St. John helped provide the faith formation and discipline necessary for success."

When asked what he would tell current St. Patrick students, Caswell added, "Get involved! Focus on giving back, whether it is time, talent, or treasure. Some examples: Volunteer at the school or events when able, offer your skills or talents to improve or promote the school, and lastly, make a gift to the Irish Fund no matter what amount to ensure the future success of St. Patrick."

Caswell also had three things he wants St. Patrick students to focus on and do in their daily lives.

"1. Do the right thing ALL the time
2. Give your best effort in ALL things
3. Pay attention in your theology classes at St. Patrick. There will be a day when your athletic and work careers end. Faith is endless. Read scripture daily."

Caswell is happily married and a proud dad of five children. He and his wife reside in
