To be with them and for them
Father Adam Urbaniak of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Biloxi visited St. Patrick to lead the liturgical service of Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and concluded the ceremony with a blessing of the sacrament upon the student body, faculty and staff.
After the service, Father Adam stayed for the rest of the day at school as a guest speaker in Mrs. Previto’s Religious Studies classes. The visit was meaningful for both the students and Father Adam alike.
“It was great having him in our class,” said sophomore Julia Roberts. “We all enjoyed how open he was about his calling to become a priest, and his stories of growing up in Poland were pretty fascinating. I really like how I felt that I could talk to him, and he would listen.”
Father Adam enjoyed his day in class as well. “It was a pleasure to be among the students,” said Father Adam. “They asked many good questions and I was particularly impressed with their openness to discuss their faith. Being here, to be with them, and for them, was a wonderful way to spend my day.”
