
Williams ’22 awarded Chick-Fila-A Leadership Scholarship
BILOXI, Miss.- St. Patrick Catholic High School is proud to announce that Blake Williams ’22 is the recipient of the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Scholarship. Williams received $2,500 to go towards his college expenses.
“I am very excited and thankful for this scholarship,” Blake Williams said. “It will allow me to continue my education in hopes to have a successful career.”
Blake served as the St. Patrick Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy liaison between the school’s chapter and our local d’Iberville Chick-Fil-A store. Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program focused on Impact Through Action. It is a seven-month curriculum that engages students with a monthly “Leader Lab” focusing on important leadership skills. Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy focuses on the following leadership insights: vision and values, servant leadership, teamwork, communication, innovation and impact.
Williams has been employed by the d’Iberville Chick-Fil-A for two years and spearheaded this year’s impact project, Kicking Cancer with Cookies, which raised over $1000 in the month of March. Williams’ scholarship was presented by Stephanie Benson with Leadership Development and Executive Director Whitney Ott.
“I am very proud of Blake as he is so deserving of this scholarship,” Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy Sponsor Lauren Williams said. “He is a proven leader with a kind heart and a strong character.”
Williams plans to attend Mississippi State University where he will double major in Industrial and Systems Engineerings and Business Administration.
