This Week at St. Patrick

Good morning!

We need your help to make our thirteenth annual Shamrockin’ the Coast Party and Auction the most successful event in our school’s history!  Help us by purchasing and selling tickets or table sponsorships, procuring or donating a silent auction item, or volunteering your time to assist with preparations.  The party takes place on Saturday, March 28, in the Magnolia Ballroom of the beautiful Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.  Join us for an evening filled with delicious food, live music by Band Camp of New Orleans, enticing auction items, and fun fellowship.  All proceeds will benefit our school.  A $100 ticket admits two adults, and dress is business casual.  Table sponsorships are also available which include a reserved table, drink packages, and advertising signage.  To purchase a Shamrockin’ ticket or table, click here: Purchase Shamrockin' Tickets.

Students will begin signing up for fall classes soon, but they must be registered to select courses.  For returning parents, there are only two steps for completing your child’s initial registration.  First, simply login to PowerSchool and click on “Registration” on the left navigation bar. You will have the opportunity to update any information on your family at this time.  Contact Dianna Collier or Tia Edwards in the school office at 228-702-0500 if you need your PowerSchool password credentials.

The second step is to pay the registration fee using our tuition management system, FACTS.  Visit www.stpatrickhighschool.net/facts to login to your FACTS account.  Registration fees are $510 for the month of March, and the price will increase on April 1.  Our admissions team is available during school hours and is eager to help with all of your registration questions.

We cordially invite all seventh and eighth grade students to join us for a St. Patrick’s Day themed dance this upcoming Saturday, March 7, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Admission is $5.00.  We will be hosting the sixth grade students from our partner elementary schools, too.  We also invite all parents of junior high students to our parent social at the same time.

We will not celebrate a regular Mass this week, but we are giving students a chance to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday.  Refer to the enclosed calendar for more details on campus activities.

Go Irish!!

Scripture of the Week

Matthew 3:1-2: In those days John the Baptist came ... saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

These words sound strange in a world that is afraid to tell the truth about sin, wickedness, and evil. Yet every lost person desperately needs to repent — to change his or her heart and life, seek after God, and live for Jesus as Lord. Yes, salvation is given to us by God's incredible grace. On the other hand, grace that leaves us unchanged is not true grace. Grace not only forgives us through Jesus' sacrificial death on the Cross, but it also liberates us from the empty and destructive life without God and his guidance.

Forgive me, dear Heavenly Father, for my sin. I want to turn my heart to you and live my life according to your will and for your glory. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Happy Birthday
