Theology Teacher

St. Patrick Catholic High School in Biloxi, Mississippi is looking to hire a qualified High School Theology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The theology department currently uses the Spirit of Truth Series from Sophia Press. This series follows the USCCB Curriculum Framework. A Theology teacher is expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program using the curriculum from Sophia Press and other complementary resources that follow Catholic doctrine. This candidate will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi.

Qualifications:

● Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or a related field or a minimum of a Level 2 Catechist Certification or working towards this certification.

● Practicing Catholic in good standing who fully adheres to and models the Roman Catholic Church teachings in faith and morals.

● Knowledge and skill in the use of instructional technology is not required but is a plus.

● Excellent classroom management and demonstrates ability to engage students in ways that excite them to learn about the Catholic faith.

● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
