FIRST Tech Challenge 2026 State Competition

St. Patrick was represented by two robotics in competition for this year. Team Tempest #6556 was 3 D Printed by Collin Murphy, driven by Collin, Mackenzie Cole and Gigi Persing. The team advanced to State Competition and won third place in the most prestigious award: the Inspire Award. This award represents all qualities of a FIRST team providing teamwork, outreach, recruiting and engineering skills.

Team Irish Storm #21585 was the robotics team of the engineering class. It was driven by Aidan Cloud and Austin Stolarski, Coached by Parker Talley and Connor McElroy. The Engineering Team made it to the final four and were in the 3rd place winning alliance. The team received a “Golden Ticket” (actually an artifact to represent the game theme. This is an invitation to a Premier Event Competition of their choice following State Competition to represent our school.

Members of Team Tempest Charlie Stelling, Ian Ferguson, Calleb Sanchez and Baylen Talley all were recognized for Gracious Professionalism.

Congratulations to all of these members who attended and are now working on the next level robot for FIRST robotics competition in Laurel.
